2026 Reading Plan
Ironclad beetle play dead - I released him after taking this pic but if I had held him a bit longer he would have gotten comfortable and started to move around. The little feet are adorable! #texas #insects #ironclads Iโ€™m just out here stalking the wildlife. #jumpingspidersโค๏ธ #spoods #texas This weekโ€™s bookโ€™s from @hyperbolebookstore in College Station. #reading #books #2026reading I am rereading The Great Conversation this month. This volume, written by Robert Maynard Hutchins - editor-in-chief of the Great Books of the Western World - serves as an introduction to the Great Books collection. Recently finished - reading with Science Book Club. Book mail is the best mail! This is an older text that deals with the intentional transmission of knowledge through mythology. Iโ€™ve seen this books referenced multiple times in discussions as varied as ancient advanced civilizations as well as strategies for dealing with long term nuclear waste disposal. #books #nonfiction #personalscholar #2026reading I found this 1976 CJ Cherryh at HPB last week! ๐Ÿคฉ #cjcherryh #homelibrary I found these at the Walmart in Atlanta this weekend and I wonโ€™t rest until I can find them here in Texas. #tictacs April has been a hectic month, and I ended up pulling some books from my current reads (nonfiction) stack for later this summer. Most of these are titles I have been working on since March, and hope to finish later this month. I did start a new audiobook - Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion. I've got a few of his books scheduled for this year, but wanted to start with this one. A wonderful mix of science and philosophy.
